Thank you for the sweet comment. I especially like all those English dressmakers. Do you also like sewing?

Good Morning…I love your dresses…I found one in mind that I would love to sew and buy the pattern but I am not able to find this dress. It is a button up from top to bottom and V-neck with a small collar. Zibergirl. sews has this picture of the dress and it is small floral print. Do you think you can help me with this! I too have 4 beautiful daughers and 1 son and 15 grandchildren & 1 great. We are blessed and I sewed my girls clothes when they were younger. Thank you and I am so hoping I can get this dress pattern.

I think your are referring to this dress. It’s the Hawthorn by Colette Patterns. http://zibergirl.com/2013/07/21/the-hawthorn-dress-renamed/
Thanks for your kind words!

I recently had Barbara do some extensive repairs (inside liner, sleeves, pockets, buttons) on my very lovely but old Harris Tweed jacket. Among the many tasks she accomplished in completing the work, I had given her the wrong buttons but she located an excellent set. She also explained how she finished the inside liner and I had to marvel at her ingenuity on how she made the “new” Harris Tweed look like what I remembered of it from back in the early (England) 60s. As Barbara spoke of all the things that she did to get my jacket just right, it was easily apparent that she loves her work, takes noticeable pride in what she does, and produces excellent and high quality work. It is a pleasure to recommend Barbara’s work, even if you don’t have a Harris Tweed jacket. Ben

Hi Barbara,
I just finishing looking at your entire blog/website. What beautiful and lovely dresses, skirts, blouses, and coats you made and make. What a talented designer you are. The colors you use are just alive with freshness. And the model you used, it is easy to understand why Alex married such a wonderful person. I would add one suggestion: I think you should make more men’s shirts. Alex looks handsome in the ones you made for him. I would buy at least a half dozen of them. Ben (PS, If I wasn’t so involved with tennis and now music, I would switch to sewing, I think. You really do make a good argument for all of us learning to sew.)
