This is the second version of Lekala Dress #4282. It’s a cute summer dress, with interesting darts on the center front seam of the bodice and a pleated skirt. This unusually striped fabric was purchased from the local thrift store and has been in my stash, just waiting for the right project.
The pattern picture is of a striped version, so I decided to try it. The repeat of the stripes is very wide and is laid out in one direction. Working with it, was a challenge. I managed to get most of the seams matched up, especially along the center front bodice, but the layout of the horizontal stripes on the skirt, were a little off. Thankfully, not enough to bother me, though.
