It’s been awhile since I posted, but that’s because I’ve been busy making items for a Christmas Bazaar and doing a bit of traveling with my Mr. We enjoyed a great Thanksgiving holiday in Phoenix where it was wonderfully warm and sunny. On the way, we spent two nights in Death Valley and wow was it ever breathtaking! Check out some of my photos of this National Park on my Flickr Site. (button on the right).
Back to the sewing and crocheting, I managed to create quite a few items, which I priced reasonably from 5 to 15 dollars. I set up my space at the bazaar with all of my goods and my business cards that advertise my alteration and sewing business. I met other very creative and friendly venders while there, and somewhat enjoyed myself. More because of the company than the sales. You see, we’ve had a really cold, icy spell in this neck of the woods. Not many braved the weather to come to the bazaar. So now I have plenty of gift items for Christmas and birthdays, I guess. I’m not sure I’ll try that again, but it was on my bucket list, so that can be checked off now.
Apart from sewing for clients, I’m anxious to sew a few things for myself and family again. I’m part of the Monthly Stitch gang, but I needed more inspiration and that came to me in the form of a 2014 RTW fast. (No buying clothes for a whole year!) I’ve done it before and it was a hoot. Luckily for me, and possibly you too, GoodbyeValentino, a contributor to Mood Fabrics, is organizing this event. She’s quite the seamstress, and models her outfits with charm and style.
Here’s her invite! Won’t you join us?
Have a a happy and safe holiday with your family and friends. 🙂
Sounds like a great idea! I am all in! thanks for forwarding the invite!
