A sewing visit

My daughter and my granddaughters came to visit this weekend. Jessica brought a few things to be altered, plus an idea for a camisole top. Together we drafted a pattern using an existing blouse, we made a wearable muslin first, then made a second one in a vintage fabric that I had in my stash. We sewed until the cows came home and then woke up bright and early the next day to finish up our projects. My granddaughter also made a fine little skirt with the help of mom and grandma. My 14 year old granddaughter excitedly chatted with her best friend on facebook. Turns out that Lady Gaga was having dinner in a friend’s restaurant in the town of Geyserville, Ca. My daughter’s friend posted a pic of herself with Lady Gaga. Her friend told her all of the details, including that Lady Gaga is just a regular person like you and me.
Also this weekend, I finished my refashion challenge for the Sew Weekly. It’s called Put a Bird on It.

Here are some pics of our projects.
