Today, my youngest daughter made a dress with the help of her mom (me). She cut and pinned. Serged and sewed and finally posed for some awesome photos in her new dress! She was a little disappointed that the “One-Hour” dress took a lot longer to make. I don’t know if she will ever take up sewing. It’s not an easy thing to do in a short amount of time. It requires time, skill, and patience. Maybe one of these days, she’ll get into it. Whenever that is, I’ll be happy to help.

That’s fantastic. At some point she’ll want to sew something…even if it’s just curtains and everything she’s learnt with you will come flooding back to her. You have passed sewing skills onto another generation and that’s a wonderful thing. Plus, Leah has picked up some serious modeling clothes skills from her Mom too 😉 these are lovely photos!

I can see where she got her good looks from. She’s so pretty.
I think she should be convinced to take up sewing, it’s a really nice dress, so flattering on her.

What a beautiful young lady and she ought to be very proud to have made such a gorgeous dress. I hope she does stick with the dress making.
