The Christmas Dress

I revisited NewLook pattern 6000. I have made view C in a lightweight synthetic and again in a lightweight polyester and have previously posted pics. This time I made view E, but with the short sleeves of view D. The fabric of this dress is a double-knit polyester. At least that’s what I think it is. I bought it for about $2.00 at the local senior center thrift store. I made my own bias tape out of the same fabric. My new “body double” arrived from so it was fun to use it for the first time. I could precisely adjust the side-seams and see exactly how it would look on me. I also learned how to sew in an invisible zipper using a CLARKS invisible zipper attachment. Oh my gosh, It was a miracle! Who ever invented these small plastic pieces that attach to any sewing machine and sell for less than $2.00 at the local Walmart, is an absolute genius!
