Last week I found some great fabric deals at the local thrift store, including this piece of woven plaid /polyester backed yard and a half. I decided to make a simple skirt. I did my best to match the stripes on the sides and back. It was an easy pattern NewLook 6057. I found it to be the perfect fit. I don’t usually go for the below the waist look, but in this case, I really liked how it turned out.
I’m so glad I have a serger. I use it all the time on seams, hems, sleeves and fabric that tends to ravel.
