Surrounded by three of my daughters, my two grandchildren, my husband, brother-in-law, mother-in-law and my niece, I enjoyed a scruptious brunch. We had grapefruit with wine appetizer, then a chili cheese dish, with sauage, bacon, and asparagus. After a relaxing visit on the patio we returned to the table and enjoyed a delicious fresh strawberry pie with dollops of whip-cream. My mother-in-law, now 90, insisted on doing much of the cooking. That’s great because she’s a wonderful cook. Afterward the grandkids pushed me around the neighborhood in an old borrowed wheelchair while I videotaped them riding the scooter. I thought I would get more use out of that chair but really, I’m so close to being fully mobile, that it’s hardly going to be necessary. Even using the cane is probably only going to be needed for just a few more weeks. It will be so fun to enjoy life without dealing with hip pain. I imagine the places I’ll go and the things that I’ll do…….
