It’s the Harry Potter series for girls and their moms. I’m on book two. It’s not exactly Anne Rice, but it’s entertaining. I like to read what my students are reading and this seems to be the latest fad. The movie, Twilight, was fun to watch.
I’ve always had a thing for superheros, especially young Clark Kent in Superman. Now Edward, in the movie ,Twilight, is filling the bill.
“Shoot,” I muttered when the paper sliced my finger; I pulled it out to examine the damage. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut.
It all happened very quickly then.
Edward threw himself at me, flinging me back across the table…
I tumbled down to the floor by the piano, with my arms thrown out instinctively to catch my fall, into the jagged shards of glass. I felt the searing, stinging pain that ran from my wrist to the crease inside my elbow.
Dazed and disoriented, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm—into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires.
OOoh, you’re so right,
New Moon is a great book, I wrote a blog about it as well!
I think in the Twilight series, it has to be my favorite.
(Jacob really steps up to the plate)
